Peace River hosting 2025 Northern HEAT Conference

The Town of Peace River will be hosting firefighters from across the province next week for it’s annual training conference.

The 24th annual Northern HEAT Fire Training Conference will bring together leading fire experts to provide training that is normally inaccessible to northern departments.

Peace River normally hosts the conference in May, but it was rescheduled to September to avoid conflicts with wildfires that have affected the conference in previous years.

The conference begins Wednesday September 10, with 64 students training for two days at the West Hill Industrial Area, and fire halls in town; capping off with the annual Trade Show at the Chateau Nova Hotel September 12-13.
