Peace Regional RCMP arrest porch pirate

Last month, Peace Regional RCMP took a suspect into custody after a mail theft incident.

On Aug. 19, Mounties received a report from a residence in Peace River of a package being stolen from their porch.

The next day, Aug. 20, officers on patrol located an individual matching the description from home surveillance footage; a bike and foot chase ensued.

A 31-year-old Trout Lake resident was arrested and taken into custody on two charges: Theft from mail under $5,000 and failing to comply with a release condition.
