Chamber organizing three municipal election events

The Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce has scheduled three municipal election events ahead of the Oct. 20 vote.

The first is a Town of Sexsmith Municipal Election Forum set for Oct. 1. It will go from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Civic Centre.

That will be followed by a City of Grande Prairie Municipal Election Forum on Oct. 2 at the Douglas J. Cardinal Performing Arts Centre. There is one session for city council candidates from 6-8 p.m. and another for mayoral candidates from 8:15-9:15 p.m.

There is an online link to submit questions ahead of time for both events on the chamber’s website.

Written questions may also be submitted at the forums. Organizers caution that time limits may mean not all questions can be asked.

There is also a meet-and-greet open house for County of Grande Prairie Municipal Election candidates on Oct. 7. It will go from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Centre 2000.
