Terry Fox Run to take place in Grande Prairie September 14

The Terry Fox Run is happening in Grande Prairie Sunday, September 14.

The annual event brings Canadians together as they work run to raise funds for the fight against cancer, in memory of the iconic Terry Fox.

This year marks the 45th anniversary of Fox’s Marathon of Hope and will be recognized with more the 520 register runs taking place across Canada.

In Grande Prairie, the run will be taking place at Muskoseepi Park at 11:00 p.m.

Participants will be traveling five kilometres along a marked route to raise $17,000.

Bicycle, rollerblades, wheelchairs, and dogs on a leash are all permitted for this event.

Registration opens at 10:00 a.m. Sunday. The event goes until 2:00 pm.
