Beaverlodge Hospital ED without a doctor all day

The Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital Emergency Department will be closed for 12 hours starting Thursday, Sept. 18 morning.

Starting at 8 a.m., the ED will be without an onsite physician; however, nursing staff will remain on site for urgent triage, assessments and referrals.

Anyone with an emergency can still call 911, as calls will be rerouted to neighbouring facilities.

The Virtual Emergency Physician coverage is also being piloted at the Beaverlodge Hospital, and may be available for all or part of this advisory.
