UPDATE -Suspect found in assault and theft incidents

Update on Sept. 28, 2025 –

Peace Regional RCMP report they were able to locate the suspect from these incidents.

Trout Lake resident, 32-year-old Craig Alook, has been charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault causing bodily harm
  • Carrying a weapon with a dangerous purpose
  • Theft under $5,000

He also had two warrants out for his arrest stemming from failing to comply with a release order out of Grande Prairie.

Alook was brought before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded into custody with a court date in both Fairview and Grande Prairie on Sept. 24, 2025.

Peace Regional RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect connected to reports of theft and assault.

On Sept. 15, 2025, RCMP responded to a report of shoplifting at a business in the area of 99 Avenue in Peace River.

While searching for the suspect, Mounties received several other reports, including one of an assault with a weapon believed to have been committed by the same suspect.

The suspect is described as being male with a medium complexion, black hair, brown eyes and wearing a blue sweater or jacket with blue pants and a ball cap and may be in possession of a black bicycle.
