Buttar and Parsonage tie at sold-out Peace Country Invitational

Grande Prairie showed up Saturday night at Bonnetts Energy Centre for the Professional Bull Riding’s Peace Country Invitational with a sold-out crowd

The one-night only show was the seventh PBR Canada Cup Series event of the year.

Number one ranked Dakota Buttar of Eatonia, Saskatchewan, kept his lead with two 87 point rides. Buttar won $5683.24.

Third ranked Jared Parsonage of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, tied Buttar on the night with 86 and 88 point rides, winning $5548.78.

Fort St. John’s Jake Gardner, who sits in second in the national rankings, had two 86 point rides and ended up a third place finish. He goes home with a cool $2994.01.

Buttar is just 42.5 points national points ahead of Gardener as they race for the top spot in the 2025 Canadian Championship and $100,000 bonus cheque.

The PBR Canada Cup Series will next travel to Medicine Hat at Co-op Place for the Medicine Hat Classic on Saturday, October 18.
