County of Grande Prairie providing mail alternatives for county services

The County of Grande Prairie is providing options to ensure County services continue for residents while the nation-wide Canada Post strike is ongoing.

Accounts Payable

• Cheques for vendor/ supplies and customer invoices can be picked up.

Utility Bills

• Utility bills can be received by email or picked up in person.

Home Support Services

• All home support clients will be notified regarding making payments over the phone or in person.

Special Ballots

• For residents requiting special ballots for the upcoming Municipal Election, they can go to the County’s election page to sign up before Oct. 17.

Permit Applications

• Permit applications can be made in person or by downloading from their website and emailing them to plan@countygp.ab.ca.
• Applications requiring notice to adjacent landowners will be held until the end of the strike.

Regional Enforcement Services.

• Dog owners can pick up tags for their pets in person at either the Community Service Building or the County Administrative Building.
