Three incidents of measles exposure in the last two weeks

Alberta Health Services is making the public aware of some incidents of residents infected with measles in a public setting.

An individual infected with measles was reported to be at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital pediatric unit on Tuesday, Sept 23, from noon to 5:10 p.m., the Fairview Health Complex ED on Monday, Sept. 22, from 10:40 a.m. to 6:55 p.m., and the Central Peace Health Complex on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 8:25 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.

Anyone who was at either of these events and has not received their vaccination is at risk of developing the disease.

If measles symptoms develop, AHS asks that you stay home and call the hotline at 1-844-944-3434.
