Kings & Navigators look to push respective series to the distance

The 1st round of the North West Junior Hockey League playoffs could come to an end Monday night.

Both opening round series will play Game 4 and the JDA Kings and North Peace Navigators will be looking to try and force the series to a 5th an final game.

The Sundown Oilfield Services Sexsmith Vipers lead their best of five series 2-1 with the JDA Kings following a 7-5 win in Game 3.

Sexsmith has won back to back games following a 5-1 loss in Game 1.

Face-off is at 8:00 p.m. in Sexsmith.

It is a similar situation in the other opening round series.

The Fairview Flyers are in the same situation in Game 4.

They host the North Peace Navigators with a chance to punch their ticket to the 2nd round of the post-season.

Home ice advantage has not been much of an advantage in the series, as the road team has won every contest so far.

Puck drop is also at 8 in Fairview.
