GPPSD 2025 School Board Trustee Candidate video series

Residents who will be casting a vote in the 2025 Grande Prairie Public School Board trustee election now have a new tool to learn about the candidates.

Thanks to efforts by the Political Action Coordinator for Trumpeter Local 26 of the Alberta Teachers’ Association, Monty Simo and other Local 26 members, residents can watch a video series on YouTube that has each candidate explaining their views on key issues.

Topics include funding, class size and inclusion, with the hope of providing voters with transparent insight as they prepare to vote on Oct. 20.

Deputy Superintendent of Schools James Robinson called it a “valuable resource,” as it “offers a clear window into how each candidate approaches the challenges and opportunities facing public education today.”
