Rotating postal strikes continue in Dawson Creek, Fort St. John

Canada Post says rotating strikes are continuing today (Tuesday, October 14) in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John.

These strikes have been going since Saturday, Oct. 11.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers recently opted for rotating strikes rather than a general strike.

The union adds in a news release posted to its website that locals who will be walking off the job will be told closer to the time the strike is to take place.

Canada Post says in a release that it is “safely resuming its operations across the country following the national strike.”

The company also says that locations not on strike are accepting mail and parcels.

The company adds that it has had no response from the union on the offers it presented on Oct. 3.
