County library pop-up programs offered while teachers’ strike continues
The County of Grande Prairie is offering pop-up programs to support children and families while schools remain closed.
Both half-day and full-day programs will be offered throughout the county; however, spots are limited and residents are asked to check dates, times and locations to find the programs that best suit their families’ needs.
The county says these programs are being offered through a partnership with County Library Services.
On Wednesday, Alberta Finance Minister Nate Horner said in a radio interview that there’s a major divide, as the latest contract offer from the union would require roughly $2 billion more than the province has set aside for their new deal.
