On-Demand Transit Services expansion

Oct 16, 2025 | 1:39 PM

The City of Grande Prairie added a new stop to its On-Demand Transit Service.

The service will now have a location in the Meadowview Mobile Home Park, and was designed to make “it easier for Meadowview residents to get where they need to go, whether it’s work, recreation, appointments or shopping,” according to Mayor Jackie Clayton.

Rides can be booked either up to three days in advance or within 30 minutes of your desired pick-up time, transporting riders to other on-demand stops or the City’s four main transit hubs:

  • Towne Centre Mall
  • Prairie Mall
  • Community Knowledge Campus
  • Northwestern Polytechnic

The on-demand service operates seven days a week with late-night service until 11 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and until 8 p.m. on Sundays, at the same cost as regular bus fare ($3.25).

More information can be found on the City’s website.
