The Alberta Teachers’ Association president will be in Grande Prairie this weekend, headlining a rally in support of striking teachers in the province.

In a release from the ATA, Jason Schilling will be in town at Hansen Lincoln (CKC) Field on Sunday, Oct. 19, at 11 a.m. for a fight for public education rally.

There will be speeches from local students, parents, and community members on their experiences with the provincial government’s handling of policies, whether it be in the classroom or future impacts, according to the ATA.

Everyone is welcome to attend, and supporters are encouraged to wear red to the event.
