Beaverlodge Emergency Department expecting 12-hour disruption

The Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital will be without an on-site physician for 12 hours on Monday, Oct. 20.

Starting at 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., nursing staff will remain on site for urgent triage, assessments and referrals.

Anyone with an emergency can still contact EMS, as calls will be rerouted to neighbouring hospitals.

The Virtual Emergency Physician coverage is also being piloted at the Beaverlodge Hospital, and may be available for all or part of this advisory.
