Municipal Election Day 2025

Today (Monday, Oct. 20) is Municipal Election Day across the province.

EverythingGP is expecting results from 14 local municipal elections:

Polls will be open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

To vote, residents will need to be at least 18, a Canadian citizen and a resident of their municipality.

Results, voting locations and a list of candidates can be found for each election by following the corresponding link, or by visiting our Municipal Elections section.

Locally, the City of Grande Prairie will be offering free transit today, to help residents get to and from polling stations.

The County of Grande Prairie has released some early figures from the advanced voting stage.

The County says they had a total of 949 advanced ballots cast over the two days, up by over 800 votes compared to the 2021 election.
