Newcomers, incumbents elected to Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools board

There will be some new trustees on the board at Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools.

Three incumbents and two newcomers were elected in Ward 1, which takes in Grande Prairie.

One incumbent, Dwight Zenner, was defeated, while another, board chair Russ Snoble, did not run again

There was a total of 13 candidates.

The vote totals for the five winners, as posted by the district on its social media page, are as follows:

Natalie Lemay 727
John Croken 675
Jermiah English 649
Hervey Chabot 640

In Ward 2, which takes in the rural area around Grande Prairie, up to the Peace River, Erin Smith won with 267 votes, defeating incumbent trustee Michelle Gemmell.

All election results are unofficial until Friday.
