City of Grande Prairie launches internet improvement study
Invest Grande Prairie is partnering with the Canadian Internet Registration Authority to better understand local internet service levels.
The Fibre Gap Analysis Project will identify areas for improvement by having residents and businesses complete a quick online test to ensure internet speed and reliability at their location.
“The Fibre Gap Analysis Project reflects our commitment to understanding local service needs and ensuring Grande Prairie remains well-connected for the future,” says Mayor Jackie Clayton. “We encourage all our local residents and businesses to take part in the quick online test to support reliable, high-quality internet which is essential to support our growing community, attract new investment and enable innovation.”
Officials say data collected from the project will help the city improve planning, strengthen grant applications, and boost economic readiness.
