Wembley Medical Clinic reopens

The Wembley Medical Clinic reopened on Monday.

It has been closed since the end of May after one doctor moved to Nova Scotia and the other could not take over the practice because of College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta regulations.

Since then, two nurse practitioners, both originally from the Peace Country, have been brought on board.

Clinic officials say the first 600 applications have already been taken up by patients.

There will be more spots available in the new year.
