Storm, NWJHL and NPHL in Thursday’s local hockey roundup

The Storm lost their second road game in as many nights Wednesday night, 4-3 in Canmore.

The Eagles scored the winning goal on the power play with just under five minutes left in the third period.

Brandon de Haas had a goal and an assist for Grande Prairie. Nicholas Morin and Will Leduc each had two helpers.

The Storm next visit Drumheller Friday before closing out the road trip Saturday in Olds.

In the Northwest Junior Hockey League Wednesday night, Sexsmith won 5-1 in Fairview.

In the North Peace Hockey League Thursday night, Spirit River will visit Dawson Creek. Game time will be 8:30.

The schedules for both leagues will resume Friday night.
