GPPSD elects new Chair and Vice Chair

The Grande Prairie Public School Division Board of Trustees has elected a new Chair and Vice Chair.

At the first organizational meeting following the municipal election, the board elected Joan Nellis to serve as Board Chair and Donna Koch as Vice Chair.

The division says they will lead the board in its governance responsibilities and play a key role in guiding priorities and fostering meaningful collaboration across schools.

“I am grateful to Joan and Donna for their desire to play a key role in the governance of our Board of Trustees,” said Alexander (Sandy) McDonald, Superintendent of Schools “Our senior leadership team and I look forward to working with our newly elected Chair and Vice Chair to support them and the governance of the Board in their efforts to strengthen public education in Grande Prairie.”
