Grande Prairie RCMP share police event statistics for October 2025

The Grande Prairie RCMP detachment has released their rough crime statistics for October 2025.

Local Mounties are reporting that the total number of police events in the city decreased in October 2025, reaching approximately 2367, compared to 2471 in October 2024.

Looking at specific offence types, theft from motor vehicles appears to have had the largest increase, going from 24 reported incidents in October 2024 to 43 in October 2025.

The number of Possession of Stolen Property incidents went down by one this October with 16 incidents, compared to 17 in October 2024.
