County of Grande Prairie hosting hunting educational course for youth Dec. 29-31

The County of Grande Prairie will be offering an educational course for young hunters next month.

The Alberta Conservation and Hunter Education course will be available for youth aged 12 to 17 and is being supported by the Alberta Conservation Association grant.

The course will be presented by a certified instructor with GP Firearm Safety and successful participants will be able to apply for a Wildlife Identification Number.

County residents will be given priority when applying, but applications are open to non-county residents as well
