UPDATE – Freezing rain warning in Peace Region rescinded

Nov 17, 2025 | 7:09 AM

Update at 9:00 a.m. – The freezing rain warning has been rescinded.

—————————–

Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning Monday (Nov. 17) morning for the majority of the Peace Region.

The national weather office says freezing rain is likely to fall this morning spanning from the B.C. border east to Sturgeon Lake, and north towards Peace River.

Slippery conditions are expected due to ice accumulation on highways and other paved surfaces.

Please be very careful while driving or walking as icy surfaces may be difficult to detect.

The risk of freezing rain is expected to end by late morning.
