Grande Prairie-Okotoks rink representing Alberta at Canadian Senior Championships

A team based out of the Grande Prairie Curling Centre and Okotoks Curling Club will fly Alberta’s flag on the women’s side at the Canadian Senior Championships in Ottawa.

The team is skipped by Delia DeJong. Kurt Balderston is the coach.

The rink also includes third and vice skip Glenys Bakker, second Allison Earl, lead Adele Williamson and alternate Bev Buckley.

They won the Alberta title in March in Leduc.

Alberta will play British Columbia in the first women’s draw Saturday evening.

The James Pahl rink from Sherwood Park will represent Alberta on the men’s side and play New Brunswick in its first game Sunday morning.
