UPDATE: Two injured in collision on Highway 40 south of city

UPDATE:

Two people were sent to hospital after a two vehicle collision south of the city last night.
 
According to RCMP, a southbound SUV collided with a northbound pickup at around 6 pm, about 20km south of Grande Prairie on Highway 40. 
 
The driver and passenger of the SUV were transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries, while the driver of the pickup was not injured.
 
Traffic was re-routed for a period of time, but the highway has since re-opened. 
 
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
