Nomination period extended for Bill Bowes Volunteer Organization of the Year Award

The City of Grande Prairie is extending the deadline to nominate organizations/groups for the 2025 Bill Bowes Volunteer Organization of the Year Award.

The award is meant to recognize and celebrate organizations or foundations in Grande Prairie that go above and beyond to strengthen community through service. Examples can include, but are not limited to; volunteer-driven programs, fundraising, community development, and ongoing support for local needs.

Eligible organizations must be in Grande Prairie and “demonstrate achievements that have made a direct and positive impact on the community.”

The nomination period is now open until December 31, 2025.

Recipients of the Bill Bowes Volunteer Organization of the Year Award will be announced in 2026 and recognized by Grande Prairie City Council.
