Overnight ED disruption in Beaverlodge

The Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital Emergency Department will be without an on-site physician overnight.

Starting at 8 p.m. tonight (Friday, Dec 5) until 8 a.m. Saturday, Dec 6, anyone with an emergency can still contact EMS, as calls will be rerouted to neighbouring hospitals.

Nursing staff will also remain on site for urgent triage, assessments and referrals.

The Virtual Emergency Physician coverage is also being piloted at the Beaverlodge Hospital, and may be available for all or part of this advisory.
