Storm game postponed, Junior A World Challenge underway

Storm game postponed

The Grande Prairie Storm game that was scheduled for Wednesday against the Lloydminster Bobcats has been postponed.

The team says in a social media post that the new date will be confirmed soon.

The Storm also say this does not affect Friday and Saturday’s doubleheader with the Bobcats.

Junior A World Challenge underway

Canada West opened the World Junior A Challenge Sunday in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, with a 6-2 loss to Sweden on Sunday.

Storm forward Max Leduc had an assist on the first Canada West goal.

Canada West plays Canada East at 5 p.m. MST on Monday, Dec. 8 before playing the US at the same time on Wednesday.

Grande Prairie defenceman Matthew Lesyk is also on the Canada West squad.
