PWPSD celebrating boys’ and girls’ volleyball teams’ performance at provincials

Peace Wapiti Public School Division is celebrating its senior boys and girls volleyball teams.

Both the Peace Wapiti Academy and Beaverlodge Regional High School teams had impressive showings at the Volleyball Provincials in Grande Prairie last month.

For the first time in the school’s history, the Peace Wapiti Academy senior boys took home the title.

“Our team’s goal was to set a legacy to be remembered by,” PWA Coach Philip Duffy. “The boys definitely played their best volleyball throughout the whole tournament and rose to the occasion.”

Meanwhile, the PWA senior girls and the Beaverlodge Regional High School senior boys won bronze in their respective competitions, while the BRHS senior girls ended the tournament in fifth place after a strong performance.

PWPSD say it is extremely proud of all of its athletes and their achievements.
