Today marks ten years since Jody Hockett went missing in Grande Prairie.

Police say Jody was last seen getting into a white vehicle outside the York Hotel on February 22, 2009.

Jody was 33-years-old when she went missing. She also may be known by the names “Jodi”, “Jesse” or “Jody Smith”.

Jody is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • Dyed strawberry blonde hair
  • Blue eyes
  • 5’5
  • Wearing jeans
  • Tank top
  • Black zip-up sweatshirt with a hood
  • High heeled shoes with fur on them

RCMP are still investigating Jody’s disappearance.

A video has been released by Crime Stoppers that depicts the circumstances surrounding Jody’s disappearance.

Police are encouraging anyone who may have information relating to Jody Hockett to reach out to the Grande Prairie detachment at 780-830-5700. Those who want to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1.800.222.8477 (TIPS) or by Internet at www.tipsubmit.com.

“We’re always hoping someone will have a tip on where she’ll be located,” says Jody’s sister Debra Stoner. “We have a Facebook group called Help Find Jody, there was a Crime Stoppers reenactment that was done 8 or 9 years ago now. If anybody does know tips of where she is, anything at all just so the family can find closure.”
