Labour & Delivery unit measles exposure at the Peace River Community Health Centre

Dec 16, 2025 | 4:59 PM

Alberta Health Services says someone with measles was at the Peace River Community Health Centre, Labour and Delivery unit, twice within a few days.

The first time was on Dec. 8 from 9 p.m. until 3:10 a.m.

The second was on Dec. 11 from 7:50 a.m. until 1:20 p.m.

AHS says anyone else who was there at the same time may have been exposed to measles.

Health officials add that anyone who was there, was born after 1970 and has had two or fewer doses of measles vaccine, should watch for a fever, rash, cough, red eyes and/or a runny nose.

Anyone who has symptoms should call the measles hotline at 1-844-944-3434 before going to any healthcare provider.
