Search continues for Tommy Harrington
Family and friends of Tommy Harrington are still holding onto hope that he is alive and someone knows where he is.
The 18-year old went missing January 5, 2019 about 70 kilometres north of Grande Cache when he was driving back to his work camp and hit the ditch in a snowstorm.
Tommy called family members for help, and when they arrived they discovered the truck on Cinch Road completely out of gas, and Tommy was nowhere to be found.
His mother, Charity Harrington says they’re asking anyone with information to please come forward.
“Just to keep an eye out, somebody had to have picked him up and I don’t know why they’re not coming forward to say they did pick him up. We can’t find any signs of anything out there,” Tommy’s mother, Charity Harrington told EverythingGP.
She says they have searched highway 40 from Grande Cache to Grande Prairie on sleds.
“We even went to Edmonton and had a look around at the shelters. We put some posters out. We’ve been searching Grande Prairie.”
Another search is being organized this weekend through Alberta Crime Watch and they’ll be using drones to try and find any sign of him.
“If anybody has information, if they know anything, please call the police. We just want to know that he’s safe,” she pleaded.
A Facebook group MISSING: TOMMY HARRINGTON encourages people to join and share any information that could help in the search.
Tommy is described as Indigenous, 5’8″ and 145lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes and was wearing jeans and a blue hoodie when he disappeared.
