GPRH and Valleyview Health Centre measles exposures

Two more potential measles exposures took place last week in the Peace region, according to AHS.

On Monday, Dec. 15, until Wednesday, Dec 17, at 4:45 pm, an individual with measles was at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Pediatric Unit 33.

Then a day later, on Thursday, Dec 18, the Valleyview Health Centre Emergency Department had an exposure overnight, from 11:30 p.m. until 3:57 a.m. the next day (Friday, Dec 19).

Now, anyone who attended either of these locations during the exposure period and develops measles symptoms, AHS asks that you stay home and call the hotline at 1-844-944-3434.
