Yellow cold warning in effect for the Peace

Environment Canada has issued another yellow cold warning for the Peace Region.

Lows of near minus 40 with the wind chill are expected across all of western Alberta, including the Peace region.

Residents are asked to dress in layers if going outside, as frostbite can develop within minutes.

A cold warning was first issued on Christmas Day but was rescinded later in the evening. This is now the second warning in 24 hours, with conditions are expected to improve by the weekend.
