GP forward earns Player of the Week honours

Dec 29, 2025 | 1:02 PM

In the week leading up to the holiday break for the AJHL, Storm forward Brandon De Haas was recognized for his play during their year-ending four-game road swing, earning him a spot as the Player of the Week.

He started the Storm’s road trip as the Player of the Game, putting up a goal and two assists during their 4-1 win over Drumheller; that was then followed by three consecutive two-point nights, which saw him collect a goal and five assists.

In total De Haas had nine points, including two goals, which now has him sitting at 31 points in 26 games, third most on the Grande Prairie Club.

Following the holiday break, the Storm will hit the road again, as they play Bonnyville on Friday, Jan. 2, and Lloydminster, Saturday, Jan. 3, before returning home for a series with Fort McMurray.

In their last ten games of 2025, the Storm are 8-2-0, and sit fourth in the north division with 35 points, which would be good enough for second in the south.
