Mainway Electrical outdoor rink remains closed due to heavy snow and warmer forecast

The Town of Grimshaw is still unable to open the Mainway Electrical outdoor skating rink.

The rink has been closed for several weeks now as town crews remain focused on responding to the significant snowfall impacting streets.

Additionally, with current forecasts calling for warmer temperatures, the town says creating and maintaining quality ice is not possible at this time.

The town says it will begin the process of flooding and building the ice once the temperatures have cooled down again and crews have found the time to remove snow from the rink surface.
