City of Grande Prairie holding community engagement sessions January 9 and12
The City of Grande Prairie is holding a pair of engagement sessions this month to help guide the direction of Family and Community Support Services.
Building off of the Community Supports and Services Survey held last year, the sessions invite residents of all ages and positions to help shape the future of local programs and services that support families, seniors, youth and the overall community.
“Hearing directly from residents on what supports they feel our community needs most whether its seniors looking for community connection, new parents looking for support, individuals seeking improved access to workforce training and education, people with disabilities advocating for greater accessibility or any other need in the community – it all helps shape the path forward to foster a welcoming, caring community that reflects the people who call Grande Prairie home,” said Mayor Jackie Clayton.
The sessions go Friday at the Montrose Cultural Centre from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Monday January 12 at the Grande Prairie Public Library from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
