Jan 9, 2026 | 3:38 PM

Valleyview RCMP say they have recovered stolen property worth an estimated $300,000 and arrested two people.

They say this started Jan. 7 with a report from Grande Prairie Rural RCMP that a stolen vehicle may be at a location west of Sturgeon Lake.

This led to the recovery of property that included a front-end loader, picker truck, gooseneck flat deck trailer, side-by-side, tools and other equipment related to work

Two Grande Prairie men, 41-year-old Jacob Blid and 44-year-old Johnathon Anderson, are each facing five charges of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.

Blid is also facing a pair of failure to comply with a release order counts.

He is due in Valleyview court Jan. 15, 2026.

Anderson is set to appear in Grande Prairie court Jan. 12, 2026.

Both have been remanded.
