March 24, 1937 – January 2, 2026
The family of Vern Danielson lovingly announces his peaceful passing on January 2, 2026, in his room at Prairie Lakes Seniors Community. Vern lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind 88 years of cherished memories. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Vern was born in Moose Range, Saskatchewan, to Margaret Inez and Oscar Danielson. He grew up as one of nine siblings—Lenore, Lois, Joan, Sharon, Carol, Anne, Gail, and Donna—sharing a childhood rooted in family, hard work, and the land. He attended school just outside Moose Range at a small country school called Labalm, completing his education through Grade 8 before setting off on many adventures that would shape his life.
On November 7, 1961, Vern married Patricia Reimer. In the spring of 1962, they moved to Grande Prairie, where they built their home and raised their family. Vern began his working years at Crumby’s Garage, later moving into a shop bay at Keith’s Small Engine in 1968 and starting a business which would later grow to be Vern’s Wheel Alignment. In 1974, with dedication and determination, he built and opened his own shop- Vern’s Wheel Alignment, a business that reflected his strong work ethic and pride in his craft.
Vern had a deep love for the outdoors. He found joy in hunting, trapping, fishing, farming cattle, and riding horses. He was also committed to his community, serving as president of the Grande Prairie Local Trappers Association and supporting organizations close to his heart.
Vern is lovingly remembered by his son Russell, his daughter Bonnie, his grandchildren Nolan and Desiree, his great-grandchildren, and his sisters Joan, Sharon, Carol, and Donna.
He was predeceased by his parents; his beloved eldest son, LeRoy Richard Danielson; his grandson Layton Danielson; and his sisters Lenora, Lois, Anne, and Gail.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Vern’s honor in the spring of 2026. Finalized details will be announced at a later date.
