Winter Try-It-Day taking place across Grande Prairie Jan. 17

Grande Prairie Regional Sport Connection’s Subaru Winter Try-It-Day is taking place today, Jan. 17.

Over 500 youth between the ages of 6 and 17 are taking part in some of the 80 sports GPRSC helps organize.

Some of these activities include table tennis and squash at Eastlink Centre or softball with the Grande Prairie Pirates at the JDA County Sportsplex.

The event is meant to not only get kids interested in new sports and activities but also introduce local clubs and organizations to the wider community.

Try-It-Day is taking place until 3:00 p.m. today, registration will be open the entire time.

The next Try-it-day is set to take place September 2026.
