Warrants issued for the arrest of Wabasca armed robbery suspect

Jan 27, 2026 | 12:20 PM

Wabasca RCMP have one of two suspects in custody after a heavy police presence in Calling Lake yesterday (Monday, Jan. 26).

Mounties say a resident had their truck stolen at gunpoint early in the day. Officers then tracked it down and began a pursuit, during which one of the two suspects in the stolen vehicle pointed a firearm at RCMP.

Thanks to the use of a tire deflation device, the vehicle was eventually contained in Calling Lake, but the male suspect managed to flee RCMP’s Emergency Response Team (ERT), Police Dog Services and the Crime Reduction Unit, and has yet to be located.

However, he has been identified as 28-year old Calling Lake resident Jamie Elroy Noskiye, and anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Wabasca detachment at 780-891-3765 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

While Noskiye fled, a female suspect did remain in the stolen vehicle and was arrested on 14 charges.

Twenty-six-year-old Wabasca resident Selena Auger had the following charges laid with a court date set for tomorrow (Jan. 28) in Slave Lake:

  • Robbery with a firearm
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Two counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited
  • Four counts of failure to comply with probation
  • Four counts of other firearm-related offences

Mounties say at this time, a warrant for Noskiye’s arrest has been issued, and he remains at large.
