Grande Prairie and District Catholic Schools Education Foundation addressing website shut down

The Grande Prairie and District Catholic Schools Education Foundation is working to develop a new website and recreate its address book after their previous site recently closed.

The Foundation says in a statement issued Friday, that Grande Prairie and District Catholic Schools Division shut down the website unexpectedly Jan. 27 and has not restored it despite requests from the Foundation.

They are asking all donors, sponsors, and supporters of the Foundation to reach out so they can remain connected.

The Foundation says communications can be directed at educationfoundation2026@gmail.com or at ‘Education Foundation of GPCSD’ while they work on a new website.

The Foundation is thanking everyone impacted for their patience and says they remain committed to supporting the lives of students of the school division for many years to come.

They add the Foundation and school division have been strong partners since the Foundation’s inception nearly 30 years ago.

The Division has released their own statement, stating the Foundation is a separate entity and is not owned, operated, or controlled by the Division.

They say any public communications undertaken by the Foundation do not represent GPCSD policy or direction unless expressly confirmed in writing by the school division.
