Armed robbery in Grande Prairie prompts public assistance

Grande Prairie RCMP and the Grande Prairie Police Service are asking for the public’s help identifying an armed robbery suspect in the city.

Officers with both detachments responded to the scene of the armed robbery that had just taken place at a downtown business on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026.

RCMP Police Dog Services and Forensic Identification Section were also called in to assist in locating the suspect, but they left behind no fingerprints and unfortunately were not found despite searching.

Video surveillance of the robbery taking place was obtained by police, showing a suspect carrying a pink switch-blade style knife.

The suspect is described as:

  • Pale complexion
  • 6’1″ tall
  • Hazel eyes

The suspect was last seen wearing a dark green hoodie, white backwards ball cap, camo face mask, grey sweatpants, and brown or black boots with white soles.

Grande Prairie RCMP and GPPS are seeking the public’s assistance in relation to this incident.
