Yellow warnings for wind out for the Peace

Environment Canada has issued yellow warnings for wind for the Peace Country.

The weather office says that gusts could reach 90 km/h on Saturday and Sunday.

It is predicting that the wind will ease Saturday evening before picking up overnight and staying high into Sunday morning.

The wind should die down by Sunday afternoon.

Environment Canada says power outages are possible as are wind damage and vehicles being pushed around.

The forecast high for Saturday is 9, with a forecast low of -5 overnight and a high of zero on Sunday.

Environment Canada says yellow warnings mean that weather may cause damage or disruption and impacts should be moderate, short-term and localised.
