Parking bans lifted on permanent snow routes in Grande Prairie

Mar 12, 2026 | 3:46 PM

City Hall says the parking ban on permanent snow routes in Grande Prairie has now been lifted.

The bans had been in place since Feb. 18.

A release from the city says that all the windrows have now been cleared from Priority 1 and 2 roads, meaning that parking restrictions are no longer needed.

That same release says that residential snow clearing is continuing.

Lanes are being cleaned out and cul-de-sac snow piles are being hauled away.

The city says sanding is also being done on icy spots on priority roads.
