Second arrest made after January murder near Slave Lake

RCMP have made a second arrest in connection with a murder near Slave Lake in late January.

Mounties say Jordan Laboucan was arrested in Peace River March 12.

The 40-year-old Whitefish Lake First Nation resident has been charged with second degree murder.

He has been remanded and is due in Slave Lake court on March 18.

On January 26, 27-year-old John Ricky Wade Laboucan of Edmonton was arrested and is also facing a second degree murder charge.

Police say that on January 23, they got a report of a dead body along Highway 2 east of Slave Lake.

The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Kirk Grey.
