City of Grande Prairie ending snow clearing rotation early

The City of Grande Prairie is ending its current residential snow-clearing rotation.

Effective end of day Mar. 30, the city is shifting efforts towards snowmelt management and snow storage removal to support draining across the community in response to forecasted warmer temperatures.

Temporary parking restrictions associated with the snow clearing program will also be ending.

This will allow for more effective use of heavy equipment and resources as spring conditions improve.

Windrow removal operations on priority routes will also continue, and parking bans on priority routes remain in place.
