MD of Peace issues yellow Flood Advisory

The Municipal District of Peace has issued a flood advisory as weather temperatures continue to increase.

The Yellow Warning means flooding is currently possible in low lying areas and near river channels.

The MD is advising residents to stay safe by keeping children away from running water ways, watch for plugged culverts, pooling at intersections, and riverbank erosion.

The MD says they are taking steps to mitigate flooding by removing snow from ditches and culverts, and is advises the public to help by clearing snow from buildings and foundations, and reporting any drainage issues to the MD.
